Departments
Orthopedics is a department that deals with the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries, including those of the bones, joints, nerves, and muscles, and diagnoses and treats a wide variety of diseases, from the neck to the trunk, fingertips, and toes.Currently, we provide medical care centered on surgical treatment, with a focus on spine surgery, joint surgery, sports surgery, and trauma surgery.
Our orthopedic department is an affiliated facility of Kyoto University's Orthopedic Department, and we work closely with them to aim for high-level treatment using cutting-edge technology.
For details on the diseases we treat and the treatments we offer, please refer to the information on each department below.
As a general rule, if you wish to be examined at our orthopedic department, you will need a referral letter from another hospital. When you visit, please bring a referral letter from your previous doctor and, if possible, image data.
You can also make an appointment for an outpatient consultation through the Regional Medical Service Center.
If you are currently receiving treatment at another medical institution and would like to receive the opinion of a doctor at our hospital regarding your current treatment plan, we will provide a second opinion at our outpatient clinic.
If you are in this situation, please consult our second opinion outpatient clinic.
A second opinion requires detailed information about your diagnosis, treatment, and the progress of your symptoms to date, and requires careful judgment based on specialized knowledge. Although it is not covered by insurance and therefore incurs a fee, we will do our best to ensure that you receive high-quality medical care that satisfies your needs.
If you wish to see a doctor, please first contact our Regional Medical Service Center through your current medical institution to make an appointment with a doctor. On the day of your appointment, please be sure to bring a referral letter from your current medical institution and image data (X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, etc.).
