This is a disease in which, for some reason, bacteria or other microorganisms enter the space around the lungs called the chest cavity and cause pus to accumulate.
Symptoms include fever, chest pain, general fatigue, cough, etc. If a lot of pus accumulates, it can compress the lungs and cause breathing difficulties.

The left lung field is white
X-rays and CT scans are used to check for pus accumulation around the lungs.

Pus outside the left lung
First, an intravenous drip of antibiotics is administered, but this alone rarely cures the disease. A tube may be inserted into the chest to drain the pus, and in some cases surgery may be required to clean out the dirty contents inside the chest. Surgery is performed using a thoracoscope, which has a small incision. This is a disease that takes some time to heal.
