Rehabilitation Center
This is the homepage of our rehabilitation center, which aims to help patients recover their functions and return to society as quickly as possible after surgery. Our physical therapists assist with walker and cane practice, while our occupational therapists provide training for hand dysfunction and shoulder pain. We currently provide rehabilitation for patients who have undergone surgery at our hospital during their hospital stay. We have increased our staff since fiscal year 2007, and are striving to improve the quality of our services to patients.

Rheumatology and Collagen Diseases
Treatment for rheumatoid arthritis and collagen diseases, which cause pain and swelling in joints throughout the body, requires medication and intravenous drips rather than surgery. Because these diseases can sometimes affect the internal organs, our hospital is staffed by specialized internists rather than orthopedic surgeons. Therefore, even patients with rheumatoid arthritis who have complications can undergo surgery with peace of mind, under the overall supervision of an internist.

Regional Medical Service Center
As a regional core hospital providing highly specialized medical care, our department sees many patients undergo surgery. As a result, the period of postoperative rehabilitation is limited. For those who require long-term rehabilitation or who have difficulty being discharged home, please consult with our caseworkers. We will provide guidance on transferring to a hospital closer to your home and on utilizing social resources.

Kyoto University Orthopedic Surgery Department
Our department is affiliated with Kyoto University's Department of Orthopedic Surgery. Our doctors have received training at the many affiliated hospitals of Kyoto University. For rare diseases that are difficult to treat at our hospital (bone cancer, childhood illnesses), we will refer you to a specialized hospital through the university's network, ensuring that you receive adequate treatment. Of course, we also have a wealth of information on affiliated hospitals of other universities, so we can refer you to the hospital closest to your home.
