Our hospital began offering robotic surgery (robotic-assisted total hysterectomy) for benign conditions such as uterine fibroids as a covered medical treatment in October 2019. Robotic surgery offers the advantage of a 3D field of view, and the robotic arms allow for safe operation that would be difficult with conventional laparoscopy. Furthermore, we began offering robotic surgery for uterine cancer in October 2021. However, because robotic surgery is still new, we carefully perform operations with a team of certified robotic surgeons, laparoscopic technicians certified by the Japan Society of Obstetric and Gynecological Endoscopy, and specialists from the Japan Society of Gynecologic Oncology. For more information, please consult the outpatient clinic staff of Higuchi (Chief), Sekiyama (Deputy Chief), Okuda (Deputy Chief), and Kozono (Deputy Chief).
