The Inpatient Support Center was reborn as the Admission and Discharge Support Station in April 2019. Here, we will create a system where patients can get an idea of what their hospital life will be like and understand the flow of treatment before they are admitted, so that they can be discharged with peace of mind. The Admission and Discharge Support Station will act as an important liaison between Kitano Hospital and the local community, and we aim to create a hospital that can work closely with the local community.
In addition, we created image characters "Kitano" and "Sapo-chan" to make the Admission and Discharge Support Station more familiar to patients. Kitano and Sapo-chan's clothes are designed with a deformed image of Kita-ku, Osaka, and they are each wearing a rose, the flower of Kita-ku. "Kitano" is named after "Kitano" from Kitano Hospital, and "Sapo-chan" is named after "support."
In the future, all staff will provide attentive service and support to ensure smoother admission and discharge for patients.
