The West Obstetrics Ward on the 7th floor is unique in that it takes advantage of its position as a general hospital and cooperates with related medical departments to accept pregnant women with complications or high risks. Obstetricians and gynecologists and pediatricians are on-site 24 hours a day, and there is also a NICU, so we are prepared to ensure safe childbirth and pregnancy management.
Painless childbirth will also be available from 2024, and anesthesiologists will provide careful anesthesia care in the delivery room.
All staff in the obstetrics ward are midwives, and we also have advanced midwives on staff. They are not only involved during childbirth, but also strive to provide care from the pregnancy stage onwards, respecting the wishes of mothers so that they can have a birth and child-rearing experience that is unique to them. Advanced midwives also focus on providing breastfeeding consultations and staff training.
We all think about what we can do for mothers and babies and value being there for them.

Our midwives also value their relationships with the local community, and participate as instructors in a parent-child bonding program organized by Kita Ward, where they support parent-child interaction and child-rearing.They also provide "sex education outreach classes" at the request of elementary and junior high schools in Osaka City, and are involved in sex education awareness activities.
In the maternity ward, newborn babies stay in the same room as mothers, so for security reasons the entrance to the ward is locked. When you wish to visit, please ring the intercom, and we will unlock the door after checking your visiting card. Please be sure to check in at the visiting reception on the first floor before coming to the ward.
