Prenatal checkups
In addition to regular checkups by doctors, our hospital also provides prenatal checkups by midwives for pregnant women whose pregnancy is progressing smoothly. The midwives' perspective on checkups and advice on life during pregnancy has been well received. Of course, they always work closely with our obstetricians.
Additionally, for pregnant women who feel that Kitano Hospital is "a little far away" or that the checkup times do not suit them, if all goes well, they can have their regular prenatal checkups at a nearby clinic, and from the later stages of pregnancy, we can handle the entire process from prenatal checkups to delivery at our hospital.
Please feel free to consult with your outpatient doctor regarding prenatal checkups at the midwifery clinic or your regular doctor.

About midwifery clinics
- This is a space where not only pregnant women but also their families can think and feel together in an atmosphere where they can talk casually about things that concern them during pregnancy, things to be careful about, and small incidents that occur.
- An ultrasound allows you to take a leisurely look at how your baby is doing inside the womb, such as seeing your baby moving energetically or sleeping while yawning.
- Pregnant women have given us feedback such as, "I was able to take my time looking at the ultrasound more than I would during a doctor's prenatal checkup," "It was good to be able to talk to them about any anxieties or worries I had about childbirth and child-rearing while I was pregnant," and "I learned about things to be careful of during pregnancy."
