Departments
Our center provides a variety of treatments, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and apheresis treatments such as plasma exchange, for acute and chronic patients who require blood purification. For patients with chronic renal failure who have recently begun hemodialysis, we will refer them to a dialysis facility that best suits their needs through the Regional Medical Service Center. If treatment at our hospital is required due to comorbid conditions, we will provide treatment in conjunction with the relevant department.
At the Blood Purification Center, lectures are held by doctors, nurses, pharmacists, laboratory technicians, nutritionists, physical therapists, social workers, and others with the aim of preventing kidney disease and slowing its progression.

World Kidney Day, an international initiative to raise awareness of the importance of early detection and treatment of kidney disease, is held on the second Thursday of March every year. Our hospital also holds Kidney Day every March to coincide with World Kidney Day, in order to raise awareness of kidney disease among many people.
The feet of dialysis patients are prone to infection and circulatory disorders. Minor ingrown toenails, corns, and calluses can progress to ulcers and gangrene, forcing some patients to have their feet amputated. At our center, doctors and nurses provide foot care for hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients, working to detect abnormalities early and prevent them from worsening. Depending on the symptoms, we work in cooperation with the Cardiac Center, Dermatology, or Plastic Surgery departments to provide support to protect patients' feet.
Once a year, doctors, clinical engineers, administrative staff, and nurses work together to conduct evacuation drills to prepare for disasters.
We train personnel as a training facility for the Japanese Society of Nephrology, a facility certified by the Japanese Society for Dialysis Therapy, and a facility certified by the Japanese Society for Apheresis. We also accept trainees from other facilities for the "Training for Dialysis Therapy Professionals" sponsored by the Japan Kidney Foundation.
