Outpatient blood collection work (blood collection corner)

Outpatient blood collection work (blood collection corner)

Since January 2007, the Clinical Laboratory Department has been in charge of outpatient blood collection.

In order to reduce waiting times for blood collection, we began outpatient blood collection at 8:15am, 45 minutes earlier than the 9am start time on Mondays through Fridays, from March 2016, and increased the number of blood collection staff to six during peak patient hours. Additionally, in order to reduce waiting times for test reception, we installed two automated test reception machines on June 18, 2016.

In October 2022, the blood collection corner was relocated to increase the number of blood collection booths, allowing patients in wheelchairs to have blood collected in the same location.

Information on the 3rd floor examination (blood sampling and urine testing) reception desk

As of June 18, 2016, we have installed two automated reception machines for testing (blood and urine tests).
The automated reception machine can only accept applications for the test date listed on the test reception form.
If you come on a different date from the one listed on your appointment, we will not be able to accept your appointment, so please change your examination date at your department before coming to the examination reception desk. (If you change your examination date over the phone, please call the number listed on your appointment slip.)
Test reception forms will not be collected or stamped at the reception desk.
Once your examination or consultation is complete, please submit your examination reception form to the billing counter ② on the 1st floor.

  1. Please insert your patient card into the patient card slot of the test (blood/urine) reception machine.
  2. Those who have blood drawn will receive a pink blood drawing ticket from the ticket exit. Those who have urine tests will receive a urine cup from the cup exit.
  3. After you have taken out your numbered ticket or urine cup, your patient card will be returned to you at the end through the patient card entrance.
  4. If you have not requested a test or if you need to complete a procedure at the counter, the message "Please go to the manned reception desk" will be displayed, so please go to the test reception desk.
  5. Please take your pink blood collection ticket and enter the blood collection area when the large monitor displays "Numbers up to XX may enter."
  6. The number on your pink blood collection ticket will be announced and displayed on the electronic display board at the blood collection station. Once the number is displayed, please proceed to the appropriate station.
  7. If you have a urine test, there is a silver counter at the back of the toilets on the C block side on the 3rd floor. Please collect your urine in the urine cup you are issued and submit it at the counter.
