In order to provide safe and prompt blood products to patients who require transfusion therapy, transfusion procedures are carried out 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by staff from the Clinical Laboratory Department, including certified transfusion technicians, under centralized management that complies with the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare's transfusion guidelines.

We have a safe transfusion management system in place through computer collation of transfusion-related information, including ordering blood products from the blood center, storage, transfusion-related testing, delivery, and side effect investigations.For autologous transfusions, we manage related equipment, lend it to the blood collection department, and store and deliver the collected autologous blood.For stem cell transplants, we manage the cryopreservation of autologous and allogeneic peripheral blood stem cells and record transplants.We have obtained approval to calculate transfusion management fees I (evaluation of transfusion systems and appropriate transfusion practices).
