Departments
Skin is the largest organ of the human body, covering the entire surface. Therefore, skin symptoms are easily visible, sometimes accompanied by itching and pain, and skin diseases can be quite stressful mentally. Our dermatology department treats a variety of skin conditions, including atopic dermatitis, psoriasis vulgaris, urticaria, skin infections such as cellulitis, shingles, and dermatomycosis, as well as alopecia, blisters, skin ulcers, and skin tumors. While we practice standard medical care in accordance with guidelines for each disease, we strive to build trusting relationships with patients through communication and consider their condition, severity, and lifestyle. Collaboration with other departments, medical support departments, and local medical institutions is crucial to providing optimal treatment, and we always value teamwork.
In recent years, the treatment of skin diseases has advanced dramatically with the standardization of molecular targeted drug therapy. Our hospital is also a facility approved by the Japanese Dermatological Association for the use of molecular targeted drugs for psoriasis, and provides treatment with biologics, JAK inhibitors, and TYK2 inhibitors for diseases such as psoriasis vulgaris, atopic dermatitis, alopecia areata, chronic urticaria, palmoplantar pustulosis, and hidradenitis suppurativa. Collaboration with local medical institutions is important for continued treatment, and we actively collaborate with them to provide introduction and maintenance therapy.
Ultraviolet irradiation devices include narrowband UVB and excimer light, and are used to treat diseases such as psoriasis vulgaris, palmoplantar pustulosis, alopecia areata, vitiligo vulgaris, and mycosis fungoides.
We place particular emphasis on the treatment of psoriasis, and offer treatments using topical therapy, oral medication, phototherapy, and biological agents. For biological agents, we comprehensively consider the severity and lifestyle of each individual case to select the appropriate drug from among the many available.
We have prepared a referral form for when referring psoriasis patients to our hospital. Please download and use it.
We place emphasis on providing thorough instruction on topical therapy, which is the basis of treatment, and provide hospitalization for treatment as needed. For moderate to severe cases with intractable symptoms, we provide treatment using biological agents and JAK inhibitors.
We have prepared a referral letter for when referring atopic dermatitis patients to our hospital. Please feel free to download and use it.
We offer a variety of treatments, including topical therapy, local steroid injections, local immunotherapy (using SADBE), phototherapy, and for acute, widespread hair loss, steroid pulse therapy with hospitalization. For widespread and difficult-to-treat hair loss, we also offer oral treatment with JAK inhibitors.
For cases that are difficult to treat with oral medication, we provide treatment with biological agents.
Excimer Light is an N-UVB targeted ultraviolet irradiation device, a new medium wavelength ultraviolet treatment device used for small areas of lesions in diseases such as vitiligo, psoriasis, palmoplantar pustulosis, and alopecia areata. While it was difficult to set a small irradiation area with conventional ultraviolet irradiation treatment devices, this irradiation device not only makes it easy to irradiate small areas, but also promises better therapeutic effects by irradiating light with a wavelength of 308 nm.
