Hokushinkai: Patient association of the Heart Center

Hokushinkai is a patient group whose purpose is to promote friendship among heart disease patients, exchange information, manage their health, and improve their knowledge.
Anyone who has been hospitalized or visited Kitano Hospital Heart Center can join.

The activities are led by the Director of the Heart Center, and involve doctors, nurses, and exercise therapists from the medical department.
There are lots of fun events, such as lectures, short trips, dinner parties, tea parties, and walking tours.

There are also many things that are useful in everyday life, such as the latest medical information and information exchange between members.
We hope that by learning that you are not the only one battling illness, but that there are many others out there, you will be able to deepen your knowledge and network with other members, and that this will encourage you to overcome your illness.

About Hokushinkai

This association was established in March 1983 and is made up of patients who have been treated at the Kitano Hospital Heart Center and their associates. Its aims include promoting friendship among members, exchanging information, and improving health management knowledge.
As you know, angina pectoris and myocardial infarction are diseases for which self-management, including dietary therapy, is extremely important for the rest of your life, even after you are discharged from the hospital. Therefore, steady effort is necessary.
This association brings together patients to encourage them by letting them know that they are not the only ones battling illness, but that there are many others out there. At the general meeting, we invite doctors from the medical department, nutritionists, and even external speakers to give valuable lectures.
At the same time, we will also publish a newsletter containing information and knowledge about the disease, as well as member experiences. We also plan short trips, dinner parties, tea parties, walking events, etc., and invite doctors and nurses from the medical department to participate to deepen exchanges.
