They must be able to cultivate their character as physicians and, regardless of the field they specialize in in the future, must be able to acquire basic medical skills so that they can respond appropriately to injuries or illnesses frequently encountered in general medical practice, while recognizing the social role that medicine and medical care must play.
Based on this philosophy, this is a two-year rotational training program in cooperation with Kitano Hospital's various departments, partner training hospitals, local clinics, welfare facilities, etc. The basic policy of this program is to provide a wide range of holistic medical care by understanding not only the physical abnormalities of sick patients but also the mental issues arising from the external environment surrounding the patient, while also providing basic medical skills that can be applied in any field in the future, and to train doctors who can cooperate with seniors, colleagues, nurses, and medical staff as members of society and provide team medical care.
After completing the two-year training, trainees can apply for residency in a particular medical department and continue their specialized clinical training.
11 students (first-year students only, no mid-career recruitment from second year onwards)
Those who plan to take the National Medical Practitioner Examination in 2025 (Reiwa 7)
Applications for clinical training starting in 2025 are now closed.
The written test and interview will be conducted in one day.
Until now, the program was uniform, and for trainees who had already decided on their career path, some rotations felt somewhat insufficient or, conversely, too long.
Therefore, we added distinctive features to the program within the limits of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare regulations and divided it into four courses: "Internal Medicine," "Surgery," "Pediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynecology," and "Free Choice" for trainees who have not yet decided on their career path.

Using PG-EPOC, residents are evaluated upon completion of each rotation and also receive a comprehensive evaluation at the end of their two-year training.
i) Trainees will register their training content in EPOC2 and conduct a self-evaluation of the goals they have achieved.
ii) The supervising physician (training program manager) and head nurse of each department will evaluate the medical skills and work attitude of the trainees.
Residents will evaluate their supervising physicians and the training system, and use this information to improve the teaching system.
At the end of the two-year training period, the Physician Training Management Committee will conduct a comprehensive evaluation based on the trainee's self-evaluation form and the evaluation form from the supervising physician, and those who complete the training will be issued a training completion certificate by the chairman.
See Appendix (1).
Residents who complete the two-year training program become residents of Kitano Hospital's specialized training program and can receive further specialized clinical training.
