I first learned about the field of "clinical testing," which analyzes components contained in bodily fluids such as urine and blood, when I was in university. I originally enrolled in university with the aim of becoming a registered dietitian, but I was amazed and intrigued by the fact that it could reveal internal conditions and diseases that cannot be seen from the outside, so I obtained a clinical laboratory technician qualification while I was still in school. Wanting to continue deepening my knowledge while working, I joined Kitano Hospital, which provides both medical treatment to local residents and conducts cutting-edge research.
The results we provide as laboratory technicians are extremely important in determining future treatment plans and medications, so it's important to pay attention not only to the current results but also to any subtle changes from the previous values. Even though I don't interact directly with patients, I'm always dealing with the results, so I feel like I'm a part of the medical team. It's truly reassuring to see the numbers improving day by day.
Rather than relying solely on machines, she checks the test results with her own eyes and provides accurate numerical values. Because her job requires concentration, she refreshes herself by going to the gym or her favorite beach on her days off. Recently, thanks to her husband's influence, watching sports has become one of her hobbies, and she enjoys cheering on soccer and baseball players at stadiums in Kobe and Osaka.
