Make your own disaster prevention plan

Do you know your own weaknesses? When faced with extraordinary situations such as a disaster, your physical and mental weaknesses can cause you to feel unwell. What are you not good at, and what happens when you're in a difficult situation? What do you do to cheer yourself up when you're tired? Consider your weaknesses as a starting point and take another look at your preparations.

Do you ever feel stressed?

Eating, sleeping, keeping yourself clean, etc. What are the things you would hate to be unable to do? In a major disaster where lifelines like electricity and water are cut off, being unable to do things you normally can can be a major source of stress. For example, if you value food, practicing "rolling stocks" by stockpiling foods you're used to eating regularly may help you eat them without hesitation and prevent your physical strength from declining. Be sure to stock up on your favorite foods, checking expiration dates as well.

What seasons or climates do you dislike?

We don't know when a disaster will occur. When it comes to "preparation," it's important to change your clothes and take measures throughout the year. It's important to think about preparations that are appropriate for the season and climate, not just the temperature, but also insects and other things.

Don't forget to take care of your mind

It is impossible to know how mentally stable you will be when you are hit by a disaster you have never experienced before. Remember how to take care of yourself when you are tired or feeling down, and consider preparing for emotional support.

Asking doctors and nurses who actually worked in the disaster-stricken areas about what was necessary and what they were glad to have done
Domestic water

It's a must to prepare water for daily use, such as washing your hands, washing your face, brushing your teeth, etc. You can make a simple shower by poking a hole in a plastic bottle cap with a thumbtack!

It's easy to forget, but it's important!

portable toilet

It is recommended that you test out portable toilets in advance to make sure you know how to use and dispose of them in case of a disaster. Cat litter, which has high absorbency and deodorizing properties, can be used as an instant toilet by placing it in a black plastic bag!

Try it out beforehand!

Let's actually prepare!
