In-hospital certification system

In line with the work style reforms for doctors (Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare), task shifting to nurses has begun. Our hospital has also introduced an in-hospital certification system in 2018 for intravenous injections and insertion of indwelling bladder catheters in men as specific nursing fields.

The following are some of the items that can be certified at our hospital:

• Administration of blood transfusions and peripheral venous access
• Administration of anticancer drugs and securing peripheral venous blood vessels
• CT/MRI contrast agent administration and peripheral venous access
• Shunt puncture in maintenance dialysis patients
• Dialysis catheter (Bath Catheter) Management
• Male bladder catheter insertion

After attending the lectures, if you pass the certification exam on knowledge and skills, you will be able to administer the treatment to patients.
We aim to ensure patient safety and advance individual careers.
