Requests regarding research and medical training

Request for blood tests for infectious diseases

To prevent hospital-acquired infections and mother-to-child infections and to ensure that patients receive the best possible medical care, our hospital conducts blood tests for infectious diseases such as hepatitis virus, AIDS virus, and syphilis as necessary before hospitalization, surgery, delivery, endoscopy, and tissue examination. We also ask for blood tests for infectious diseases in the event of a contamination accident, such as when a patient's blood comes into contact with a medical staff member's wound. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this regard.
The relevant department will take appropriate action regarding the test results, with due consideration given to privacy. Test results will only be communicated to the individual or guardian, and appropriate information and treatment will be provided as needed. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask your doctor or attending physician.
Please note that we will ask for your consent before conducting an AIDS virus test, but please let us know if you do not wish to be tested.

Requests regarding specimen storage and use

Request regarding the medical internship system

Our hospital has been designated as a clinical training hospital by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. We train doctors who have graduated from university and obtained a medical license as trainees for two years before sending them out into society.
For this reason, our trainees will be involved in patient care under the supervision of a supervising physician, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation. If you have any comments about the trainees, please feel free to speak to your doctor or head nurse.
