Time required for explanation of medical condition (informed consent)

The health damage caused by long working hours for doctors has become a problem, and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has called for efforts to reduce doctors' working hours.

Therefore, at our hospital, in order to ensure the quality and safety of medical care provided to patients, we have decided to, as a general rule, explain the medical condition of non-emergency patients (informed consent) during opening hours on opening days, as an effort to reduce the burden on doctors and shorten their working hours so that they can work without becoming exhausted.

Unless requested by the hospital, we may be unable to provide explanations at night or on holidays due to the convenience of the patient or their family, so we ask for your understanding.
