Visitor Guide
Our hospital has recognized the importance of preventive medicine from an early stage, and has been conducting health checkups for many years since we first established our health checkup service in 1954.
The purpose of a health checkup is twofold:
To achieve these two goals, health checkups involve many more tests and examinations than regular workplace health checkups or resident health checkups, and in addition to explaining the results, lifestyle advice is also provided.
For our one-day health checkups, a doctor will explain the test results on the day of your appointment, and you will be given instructions on whether to undergo a secondary examination or visit the appropriate medical department. Nurses and public health nurses will also provide lifestyle advice. We also make efforts to address any abnormalities discovered during the checkup as quickly as possible.

However, such health checkups are not a panacea.
Generally, health checkups are designed to prevent or detect early-stage diseases that are difficult to detect and ignore, yet that affect everyone. Health checkups are not suitable for consultations about diseases that are already being treated, or for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases for people who are experiencing symptoms and are feeling unwell. For people who clearly have symptoms, it is more reliable and efficient to visit an appropriate medical department as an outpatient to be examined.
To detect abnormalities, it is important to understand the patient's lifestyle and health condition up to that point. To do this, it is advisable to have regular checkups at the same facility, if possible. If you have had checkups at other health checkup institutions up to now, please bring your previous checkup results.
A health checkup needs to see what is happening inside your body while you are living your normal life. Even if you lead an "ideal" life that is different from your normal life just before the health checkup and get the results, the results will not be useful for your daily life. Also, some tests can be hard on the body, so please do not work excessive overtime the day before just because you can rest during the health checkup. If you are not feeling well, we recommend that you refrain from coming for a health checkup.
A health checkup can only be beneficial to your health if you receive appropriate guidance. Be sure to receive an explanation of the results and receive guidance.
