A second opinion is the opinion of a doctor other than your primary doctor regarding a diagnosis or treatment plan.
Even after receiving an explanation from a doctor, patients and their families who lack specialized knowledge may be unable to decide on a treatment method or may feel anxious. Therefore, it has become common in recent years to consult and get a second opinion from a third party with specialized knowledge (i.e., a specialist).
At our hospitalPatient Rights StatementWe declare that "you have the right to seek the opinion of another doctor regarding the diagnosis and treatment methods at our hospital." If you would like a second opinion, please feel free to consult with your doctor.
Conversely, we also accommodate requests for a second opinion from our hospital regarding a diagnosis made at a medical institution other than ours. If you would like a second opinion at our hospital, please make an appointment as follows:
