<The schedule for June and July 2013 has been posted>
As a "CAPD Education and Training Medical Institution" certified by the Japanese Society of Peritoneal Dialysis, our hospital is accepting applications for a two-day education and training course in 2013 on the dates below.
The maximum number of participants is 6 people, and we will adjust the number of participants accordingly. We appreciate your understanding if we cannot accommodate your request.
Characteristics of our hospital
Our hospital has established an information exchange network using the CKD regional collaboration path with the primary care physicians of patients with early-stage chronic kidney disease (CKD).We also utilize multidisciplinary kidney disease classes and other programs to support patients in preventing the progression of CKD and improving their quality of life if it does progress.
Our hospital's peritoneal dialysis department is dedicated to treating patients who have selected CAPD at stage 5 CKD, and operates alongside general nephrology outpatient services and hemodialysis. Catheter placement by urologists is often performed laparoscopically, and is also compatible with SMAP.
A distinctive feature of our hospital's CAPD education and training program is that it includes time for discussions, including case studies. We hope you will join us.

World Kidney Day is an international initiative to raise awareness of the importance of early detection and treatment of chronic kidney disease, which is on the rise around the world. World Kidney Day is observed on the second Thursday of March, and various awareness campaigns are held in more than 100 countries around the world.
Kitano Hospital is planning an event that will be open to people who think they have nothing to do with kidney disease, and will provide an opportunity for them to take a fun look at their own bodies, and also an opportunity for people with chronic kidney disease (CKD), which is estimated to affect up to 5% of the population, to take a positive approach.
