The Medical Research Institute Kitano Hospital, a public interest incorporated foundation, will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2025, and in January 2026, it formulated a new "brand message" for the next 100 years. It also updated its visual identity (VI), including its symbol mark and logotype, in order to widely communicate its value through this message.
Creating the future through harmony among people.
We aim to be a hospital that continues to provide cutting-edge medical care through the "harmony between people (medical human resources strength)" that is our traditional asset and source of power, which can be said to be our DNA that has been passed down from our predecessors, and that in doing so will continue to be a presence that creates the future of people, including the creation of local communities.
While based on the existing brand color (left), the brightness has been increased to emphasize cleanliness and innovation. The color tone has been evolved to convey calmness and precision, as well as a sense of teamwork and security.

While retaining the identity of the previous symbol mark (left), which is based on the letter "K," the initial letter of Kitano Hospital, we have redesigned the layout and balance.

By adopting the new English name "KITANO" rather than the traditional kanji notation, which is more globally focused, we have created an expression that is familiar to patients and local residents and can be understood worldwide. In addition, by making the "i" lowercase and adding a motif of a "person," we have clarified the hospital's stance of people-centered management. The free-standing "i" expresses the dynamism of moving towards the future and symbolizes the connection with staff, the community, and patients.

The formulation of the brand message and VI renewal announced today was led by the "100th Anniversary Rebranding Project" (a project formed by staff from various professions, including the chairman and hospital director), which was launched in January 2023, and was completed after going through various processes.
This project will continue to be at the center of our efforts, with each and every staff member striving to embody the new KITANO brand through the power of "harmony among people" through medical care.
