Notice regarding the use of "intermittent scanning continuous glucose monitors"

At our hospital, we treat patients who wish to use an "intermittent scanning continuous glucose monitor" as a selected medical treatment (a medical service that can be received in addition to insured medical treatment at the patient's own request) as defined by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.

As of 2024, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare has designated the use of intermittent scanning continuous glucose monitors as a "selected medical treatment."All additional costs are borne by the participantTherefore, if the equipment is provided, you will be required to pay the following amount as "selected medical expenses" in addition to regular medical expenses.

Eligible people: In principle, people who have been diagnosed with diabetes (including impaired glucose tolerance)
  • Diet and exercise therapy only
  • Oral treatment only
  • Those who have been diagnosed with impaired glucose tolerance (diabetes, etc.) during a health checkup

*This offer is for patients currently receiving treatment from the Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology. Patients receiving treatment from other departments who are eligible and wish to purchase this product will need to submit an "Other Department Request Form" to the Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology.
