Kitano Medical Research Institute Hospital, a public interest incorporated foundation,Press release issued on April 1, 2025As mentioned above, as part of the Foundation's 100th anniversary commemorative project, we are proceeding with the construction of a "Preventive Medicine Building" centered around the Preventive Medicine and Health Check Promotion Center, and the "design concept" has now been decided. ①Design that connects 100 years of history to the future

• The foundation will carry on the history that connects its roots in Kyoto to Osaka. The interior design will incorporate traditional crafts such as Kyoto lattice and Osaka ranma, as well as futon upholstery and fabric-reinforced laminated glass, inspired by the cotton fabrics of founder Masajiro Tatsuki, who was active in the cotton industry, to create a space where users can feel comfortable.

• By using wood for the interior and by planting greenery on the roof and around the site, we aim to create a warm and welcoming facility that is suitable for a health-promoting facility and that will contribute to improving the health and well-being of users.

②Facilities that are open to the community and contribute to the community

• On the first floor, there is a "100We will be establishing an "Anniversary Hall (tentative name)" that will be a space that can be used casually by the public for gallery exhibitions, seminars, etc. We will also be establishing a social lounge that will be used not only for lunch by those taking the health checkups, but also for everyday use by local residents and as a place for staff to relax.

• By setting back the upper floors of the building (i.e. setting the upper part back more than the lower part) and aligning the wall lines with the existing new building, we will create a beautiful streetscape that harmonizes with the surrounding environment.In addition, we will create a space that takes into consideration the health and well-being of users by using a design that incorporates natural light to allow greenery to be seen and by using wood for the interior.

3) Improving the environment and contributing to the SDGs through wood
