The Medical Research Institute Kitano Hospital, a public interest incorporated foundation run by the Tatsunokofukai Foundation, will hold a crime prevention class on Friday, January 31, 2025, to raise staff awareness of crime prevention and help them protect themselves and their patients. A current police officer from Sonezaki Police Station in Osaka Prefecture will be invited as the lecturer, and students will learn about victim prevention measures and self-defense techniques using a sasumata (baton).

<Classroom training> ●Preventing women from becoming victims (sexual crimes, stalking, domestic violence) - Preventing robbery and other crimes (indoor burglary, street robbery, snatch theft) ●Preventing damage from special fraud (special fraud methods) <Practical training> - Instruction in self-defense techniques (escape techniques, body movements, sasumata) *As there are many female staff members working at our hospital, we plan to provide not only classroom training on robbery and special fraud, but also lectures on how to prevent molestation and stalking, as well as practical training in self-defense techniques using actual baton strikers and other implements. |
