Graduated from Kyoto Pharmaceutical University in 1994. Completed graduate studies at Kobe Pharmaceutical University in 1996. Worked in the Pharmacy Department of Kyoto University Hospital and obtained a Doctor of Medicine from Kyoto University.
He was appointed head of the pharmacy department at Kitano Hospital in April 2013. His hobbies include watching sports (baseball, rugby, etc.), visiting temples, driving, and reading.
