UNIQLO Osaka Store and Kitano Hospital Collaborate to Produce Special Pamphlet for Cancer Patients

Medical Research Institute Kitano Hospital (Kita-ku, Osaka City, Chairman: Inagaki Nobuya, hereinafter referred to as Kitano Hospital) has collaborated with the UNIQLO Osaka store to produce a special pamphlet featuring a selection of comfortable and easy-to-wear UNIQLO products for cancer patients. The pamphlet will be available to cancer patients from April 2024.

Production background

Cancer patients may find it difficult to wear regular clothing or underwear due to the effects of surgery, drug therapy, radiation therapy, etc., which can make it difficult to move their bodies or change their appearance. For this reason, there are many underwear and care products on the market aimed at cancer patients, but the designs are limited and the products themselves are difficult to obtain.

Therefore, at Kitano Hospital, with the hope that cancer patients can continue to live their lives as usual, the nurses who normally work with cancer patients took the lead in considering ways to allow them to wear the same clothes and underwear as before. With the cooperation of the Uniqlo Osaka store, they selected general products sold by Uniqlo that are recommended for cancer patients and created a special pamphlet to introduce them to cancer patients.
