On Saturday, February 25, 2023, the 43rd Western Japan Regional Meeting of the Japanese Society of Toxicology was held at Kitano Hall on the second floor of the new building of the Medical Research Institute Kitano Hospital.

The meeting began with a greeting from Dr. Akihiko Hirakawa, Chairman of the Western Japan Regional Chapter and Chief of the Emergency Department at Medical Research Institute Kitano Hospital, and presentations were given by young doctors on the theme of "Passing on to the Next Generation."

In addition, Professor Takaaki Inoue, professor of emergency and intensive care medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Tsukuba, gave a special lecture on the topic of "Characteristics of poisoning treatment and revisions to the standard poisoning treatment guide."

Medical Research Institute Kitano Hospital will continue to contribute to the future development of medicine in various ways.
