Kitano Hospital has been designated as an "Osaka Prefecture Pediatric Core Hospital" by the Governor of Osaka Prefecture on July 20, 2022.
In Japan, a shortage of medical personnel is expected due to the declining birthrate, aging population, and population decline, and consideration is currently being given to building a future pediatric medical system.
The government's "Guidelines for Establishing a Pediatric Medical System" states, "When establishing a pediatric medical system, prefectures shall clarify various functions, such as general pediatric medical care, pediatric community support hospitals, pediatric community medical centers, and pediatric core hospitals, and establish regional areas."
Based on this, Osaka Prefecture has been considering designating our hospital as an "Osaka Prefecture Pediatric Core Hospital" and an "Osaka Prefecture Pediatric Regional Medical Center," and our hospital has now been designated as an "Osaka Prefecture Pediatric Core Hospital."
As a core hospital in the region, Kitano Hospital will continue to strive to further improve its pediatric medical system and provide better medical care to the local community.
