what's new
On November 3, 2020, it was confirmed that one patient currently hospitalized at our hospital was infected with the new coronavirus. As a result, our hospital conducted PCR tests on all hospitalized patients in the affected ward and all hospital staff working in the ward, and by November 6, one new hospitalized patient and four staff members had tested positive.
Under the guidance of the local public health center, the ward in question has stopped accepting new admissions, and we are investigating whether there are any close contacts as stipulated by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. Patients who have had close contact with infected people are being isolated from other patients and are being carefully monitored, and staff who have had close contact with them are being asked to stay at home. Furthermore, we are also properly disinfecting the hospital under the guidance of the local public health center.
Regarding outpatient treatment and inpatient treatment in wards other than the ward in question, we will make decisions depending on the situation, but the above measures have been implemented and at present, treatment will continue as usual.
We will let you know any new information as it becomes available.
We apologize for any concern this may cause to our local community, but we will continue to make efforts to prevent the spread of infection, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
