Important points to note when visiting the emergency room

• With some exceptions, first-time patients who visit outside of clinic hours (11:31am to 8:44am the following day on opening days or on closed days) will be treated in the emergency room.
• As a general rule, we prioritize patients with serious illnesses or who require emergency treatment, so we may see patients who arrive later or are transported by ambulance first. This can mean very long waiting times.
• In the emergency outpatient clinic, emergency physicians and doctors from various medical departments take turns to treat patients, and as a general rule, patients cannot be examined by specialists.
• With some exceptions, selected medical expenses will be charged at actual cost in addition to medical expenses, etc., as shown below.

Emergency outpatient care

At the emergency and after-hours reception desk, we have a limited number of staff who handle both counter and telephone inquiries at the same time, so it can be difficult to get through on the phone, which causes a lot of inconvenience to everyone.
We are currently considering measures to improve the situation, so we appreciate your understanding.

Reception procedure when visiting the hospital

On opening days, between 8:00 and 17:00, please enter through the main entrance on the south side. At other times and on closed days, please enter through the after-hours entrance on the west side and go to Emergency/After-Hours Reception (⑦) on the first floor of the main building.
