[Research content] Epidemiological study on surgical cases of cervical cancer: Comparative study of "preoperative intra-arterial chemotherapy" for cervical cancer
[Significance of the research] If it is proven that the preoperative intra-arterial chemotherapy administered at our hospital improves the prognosis of cervical cancer, it could become one of the treatment options that takes into consideration women's quality of life.
[Purpose of the study] We will investigate whether preoperative intra-arterial chemotherapy is effective in improving the prognosis of cervical cancer.
[Research Method] We will conduct a comparative study based on in-hospital cancer registry data for patients who have undergone surgery for the first time after being diagnosed with cervical cancer at our obstetrics and gynecology department and who meet certain conditions. For those whose progress cannot be tracked, we will inquire about their resident registration with the respective city, town, or village.
If you wish to decline, please contact Sakakibara in the Health Checkup Department (Tel: 06-6312-8831).
