| The 9th Division, the Kitano Research Center
for Pharmaceutics and Physiology (KRCPP), comprises the Department
of Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine and the Department
of Pharmacy. The Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care
Medicine uses potent drugs while monitoring physiological
parameters in daily practice and investigates the safe and
effective use of drugs on the basis of pharmacological and
physiological data. The Department of Pharmacy promotes the
proper use of drugs for and by patients, contributing to the
prevention of medical accidents and ensuring effective drug
therapies. Pharmacists at the Department of Pharmacy are focused
on their role as drug specialists and risk managers through
prescription checks related to drug dispensing. Their involvement
is centered on drug information and prevention of adverse
reactions and interactions through medication history management
and patient compliance instructions, and through the preparation
of IVH/antitumor drugs. |
