About
of The Tazuke Kofukai Foundation,
Medical Research Institute |
| A founder Masajirou
Tazuke donated lots of his own money into Kyoto University
because of a successful surgical treatment for empyema of
the chest, that had suffered him for years. That was because
he entrusted his dream to realize a highest medical treatment
here in Osaka with Kyoto University. With his donation, the
Tazuke Kofukai Foundation, Medical Research Institute was
approved by Ministers of Education and Interior and established
in Department of Medicine at Kyoto University in 1925.
In 1928, a mayor of Osaka City, Hajime Seki, sympathized with
Seijirou’s effort and donated a land required for the hospital
for clinical researches named "Kitano hospital".
Since then for 80 years, this institute has been expanding
as a medical center, which immediately returns fruits of considerable
researches from basic science to practical clinic to patients
and contributes to advancements of medical science. |

Spirit of Medical Research Institute |
The mission
of Tazuke Kofukai Medical Research Institute is to pursue
the clinical research thoroughly. In another word, we are
trying to clarify doubts and problems coming from daily practice,
consider a linkage and an application with an up-to-date science,
and return the results of researches to the wards as the latest
treatment.
And, all the working staffs in The Tazuke Kofukai Medical
Research Institute confirm this again, and go forward on medical
studies and practices.
